If you would like more help with the holidays – and who wouldn’t – then you might like this post I wrote in 2008 (an oldie and a goodie!):

Your Spiritual Support Team, consisting of your Higher Self, Guides, Angels, Teachers and Masters can be of great assistance during the holidays.

The holidays are supposed to be fun. They are supposed to be filled with joy, food, parties, friends and family, and gifts. Expectations are high – and so is the stress, especially if you are the one who’s responsible for others having a good time, you have to travel, you have family conflicts, or you are a last minute shopper. We are all aware of how our team , particularly our higher self, guides and angels, can and do help us all the time. Especially if we ask! But sometimes in our frazzled rushing around trying to “git ‘r done”, we forget they are even there. And that we could get help!

Here are some examples: “Guides, I request that I find the most suitable and beneficial gifts for everyone on my list, that I find these gifts with ease and that shopping for them be a most enjoyable experience. This or something better, for the highest good of all. Thank you!”  Please don’t forget the heartfelt thank you! And to include a statement similar to “for the highest good of all.” It will ensure that not only you, but all those that are associated have a beneficial experience.  “Guides, I ask that during the time that I am at [name's] party I have a delightful experience! For the highest good of all. Thank you so much!”  

Also, feel free to address it to your main guide to make it a more personal experience – if you know his or her name.  “[Name of guide], I request help in cooking this holiday dinner to perfection, and  to the utmost enjoyment and health of my guests and family, to the highest good of all. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”  “[Name of guide], I ask that my safety and the safety of my family be guaranteed as we travel, now and into the future, for the highest good of all. Thank you!”

Feel free to request anything you can think of! Even the so-called impossible. Like your luggage arriving at the same time and destination as you. Remember, too, that we have our own expectations and if they are negative that can colour the perception of our experiences. For example, if you are expecting to have a horrible time at so-and-so’s party, you will. Law of Attraction, right? So, ask your Guides to help you – and expect to be helped.

Expect to have a good time, or enjoy shopping, or have your holiday dinner turn out perfectly. And it will! Happy Holidays!

What is the key to business success and abundance? In fact it is the key to satisfaction in life! But for today we’ll stick with career and business. In a word, it is love. Love is the surest path to joy.

Charisse, my high level guide said, “Following your joy in doing and being leads to abundance – they are connected. You must do what makes you happy and find a way to serve others through it.”

In the spirit of really probing this concept with her I asked, “What about napping?! What if my passion and what I want to do with my life is napping? There’s no way you can make money napping! Is there?!” I thought this question would really stump her, but she quickly replied, “There are ways, but one must be creative (smirk). What would napping bring you? Napping might bring you ideas, creative ideas. You would act on them and in turn that would bring you success and abundance. The act of napping, of itself, likely would not, but it’s all a chain. Everyone has things, energies, within them that they are here to express. How many people would express these energies by napping?! Virtually none. If people have only the desire to nap, then they are perhaps ill, and most certainly have not found their life purpose.”

In both career and business, many talk about serving others. But we will let you in on another little secret. “While [your business or career, in alignment with your life purpose] might fill a need in serving others, what it really serves is you. You are served by being in a state of joy and love. It benefits others in the end as a good by-product. But you are the one who is served, and this is why you must follow your joy, and not what you think others need or want. Because if it is not what you want, you might be resentful, and you will put that energy out into the universe. No one is attracted to that. And you really don’t want to be attracting that energy back to you, do you?”

“The joy you put into what you create, including into your business and career, is what attracts the people who buy your products, services, time and talents.” “Of course, even when expressing your life purpose in joy, you can hold yourself back from achieving success and abundance through limiting beliefs. It is important to be vigilant and ruthless about weeding out limiting beliefs.”

The Unseen World

Most people believe that if they can’t see something, it simply doesn’t exist! It’s even kind of funny how some of these very same people believe in God, but scoff at the idea of Spirit Guides. While most of us cannot see Spirit Guides, Angels and other spirit-realm helpers, we can see and feel their effects. We cannot see the wind, but we know it exists from observing its effect on trees, boat sails, clouds and feeling it on our skin and in our hair. Anyone who has encountered Spirit Guides, Angels and the other unseen helpers in our lives know that they are real – as real as that computer monitor in front of your face! But seeing, or not seeing, the so-called invisible world is really a matter of perspective. You cannot see germs or viruses with the naked eye, but with the right equipment – and thus perspective – you can. The same goes for nebulae in space. And it also depends on where you focus your attention. If you are looking at the grass, you cannot, at the same time, focus on the clouds. Still, no matter if you see bacteria, nebulae, grass or clouds – they all exist. 

So, how can you see the unseen spirit realm? Some people already have the “right equipment”, but developing your own is simply a matter of an open heart and mind. The easiest way is through meditation. Quieting the mind of chatter is the surest way to hear the subtle voices of Spirit – your higher self and your spiritual support team of guides, teachers, angels, teachers and ascended masters. Once you have quieted down with deep, slow breathing and grounding, go deeper into yourself. Shift your awareness from your heart to your heart. Be quiet and just listen. This is known as centering. Once you can do that with ease, you can begin to communicate with your spirit guides. Once centered, ask your spirit guides to answer yes or no to a known question. Ask the question, say the answer yourself, listen for your guides answer. This way you can learn to pick out the “voice” of higher perspective and differentiate it from your own voices. This is a great method for developing clairaudience, a form of psychic knowing in which you hear the information you seek. Clairsentience is feeling or empathy. Clairvoyance is seeing, and is most associated with being psychic. The most common but least know form of psychic knowing is just that – a “knowing” or thought that contains the answer you seek. Another method is stilling the mind while outside (or even inside if  it’s too cold or hot out) and closing your eyes. Listen and feel the environment around you. Without the sense of sight, your other senses grow stronger and are better able to receive subtle nformation.   Cultivating a relationship with the unseen, with Spirit, is a beneficial practice that can give you so much perspective on your life and the cosmos. Enjoy it! Make this a daily practice. Even just a couple of minutes a day will greatly strengthen your own psychic gifts.
