What is passion? The word passion comes from the Latin patior, meaning to suffer or to endure (are many of you not passionate about your day job then?! LOL!). The uncomfortable roots of this word have given way to meaning a feeling of unusual excitement, enthusiasm or compelling emotion toward a subject, idea, person or object. Passions are those things that you love to do that move you to action. They are motivating and inspiring; they bring your joy and a sense of aliveness. And, they are a clue – to your life purpose....

And, they are a clue – to your life purpose.

Passion and purpose are intrinsically linked. Some may argue that passions may come and go like fashions, but I disagree. While you may be interested in a wide variety of things, these things tend to have themes and cycles, often going back to childhood. When you look at the essence of these passions they give a strong clue to your life purpose.

For example, a lot of my passions revolve around stuff like fine art, painting, drawing, writing, photography, design – websites, publications, programs, etc. The essence of this is, of course, creation (including manifestation). And this is a prime element of both my soul level gifts and talents (Akashic Records consultation), as well as my life purpose (as identified by the “Your Life is in Your Hands” consultation).

So, how to discover your passions:

Revisit and repossess your core dreams and fantasies.

Think back to when you were a little kid and make a list of your passions by five year blocks of time.

Examine these lists for recurrent themes.

Consider your dreams to be private, unique and sacred.

Only you know what feeds your soul, and it is not for others to judge!

Know, too, that you are not alone – there are others with the same passions. You can connect with them. This can be especially helpful if you wouldn’t be able to get the support you need at home.

Your dreams are sacred. They are an expression of your soul. Treat them that way.

Get help from and watch the actions of the already passionate.

Get to know others already following your particular passions.

If you can’t find anyone (yet!), then pay attention to how passionate people feed their passions (in general).

Indulge, honour and live in your own imagination.

This stokes the fire of passions, and opens up new avenues and opportunities.

Don’t talk about it, do it.

Pick your top passion and do something to express it.

See your passion manifested into action or production.

This will not only make you feel joyful, confident, successful, and fulfilled but will also attract to it further success!

When you see your passion manifest, it feeds the fire!

Come and post your passions in the comments!

To your joy and success!

Blessings,

Keena

PS There can be passions you have that are smaller parts to a larger purpose. Sometimes your passions may seem so different that the only thing linking them is you. In those cases, you will want to take a higher, more encompassing perspective to see the link. An example might be that the 3 things you are most passionate about are playing rock guitar, hanging out with your friends and being addicted to Twitter. In this case the essence may be around communication.

Since your purpose grants you the enthusiasm you need to set goals and follow through with plans, you’ll begin to recognize your value to society and the world at large. The purpose you discover today will become the wellspring of confidence and energy that fuels your evolution.” (Unknown – but I am working on finding where I got this from!)

I have written before about life purpose and soul purpose, where soul purpose is defined as your soul’s talents, gifts and challenges that you express during your time here – your life purpose is the expression of your soul purpose. Your life purpose may look like one thing, one path – or it may look like many, even seemingly unrelated paths (which are linked at a higher level). There is not some specific thing that you are here to do – it’s not necessarily about WHAT you do more than HOW you do it.

Every experience you have has the potential to reveal to you your life’s purpose, and you may be surprised to find that you are living your life purpose even though you didn’t realize it. And all the stuff you are struggling with *could* be part of your life lessons (unless it is a soul level block).

Life lessons are the flip side of the life purpose coin. They are the challenges we must overcome to fully live our life purpose. The repeated scenarios in your life will give you clues to what this might be.

If you have ever wondered about life purpose and googled that phrase then you will find pages and pages of websites proclaiming they know how you can find your life purpose. Often this is a number of excellent thought-provoking questions you journal about or meditate on for an hour, or it may take you several months or more. Now I am one of those people who loves contemplation and journaling, and I have spent months trying to come up with a satisfactory, concrete idea of life purpose. Mind you, I’ve always “known” for the most part – I just wanted something powerful, succinct and inspiring. I have tried just about everything out there, and I have come close – but it always seemed vague to me. And so I thought, “Well, maybe it’s just supposed to be vague. It gives you more potential, more wiggle-room, freer will…?” I just always wondered if there was something more that I was missing.

Then I discovered Soul Realignment…

Those of you who have had a Soul Realignment Akashic Records Consultation will have a very good idea about what their soul purpose is. In the section called the Soul Profile, we cover your soul’s origin (a specifically chosen place for incarnation which factors in to your soul “personality” and purpose), your soul’s gifts and talents, training and “memberships”, as well as challenges inherent in your soul’s highest path and purpose. Many of you will then be able to figure out what that translates to in terms of living your life’s purpose and how to learn your life lessons the best way possible (i.e., with the least amount of stress and repetition).

And coaching…

My coach, Tom Volkar, gave me an exercise to do once that was remarkable in its ability to put words to how I express my life purpose. Knowing this, in addition to my Soul Realignment Soul Profile information was huge! I was well on my way to articulating a powerful, succinct and inspiring life purpose.

Then I came across one of the most powerful life purpose discovery techniques EVER. I am so blown away by it! Did you know that five months before you were born, your life path was etched into your hands?!

I’ve always loved the esoteric studies, including palmistry – but this is different. What I am offering is a form of scientific hand analysis (it’s not predictive), akin to what doctors and geneticists do when they study the genetic illnesses that are revealed in your hand prints. The hand analysis that I have been studying and am now offering to you is based on over 14 years of data collection, and it is very powerful, very accurate, very succinct and VERY illuminating! On top of that it is so quick, easy and painless!

I cannot tell you enough of how excited I am to be able to offer this to you! And on top of that, it is a relatively new modality (so is Soul Realignment for that matter) – only a couple of years (for both). It is so amazing to be on the “cutting edge” in being able to offer you the most accurate, quick and easy methods for discovering and expressing your life purpose, eliminating soul level blocks and restrictions that keep you stuck, and help you create the success you want in your life. This is definitely MY purpose!

To your joy, abundance and success!

Blessings,

Keena

PS Hand analysis is very popular now in Europe and taking off in North America. People will pay upwards of $1500 USD to have their hands read – and that doesn’t even include the removal of soul level blocks and restrictions! I have the ultimate life purpose discovery package – the Simply Divine Life Purpose program – available NOW. There are multiple levels to suit all budgets. Find out more here.

PPS If you have had a Soul Realignment Consultation with me already – you obviously don’t need it again! So, if you would like to discover and express your life purpose through the Simply Divine Life Purpose program, then please email me with your request and I will send you a link to get the program without the price of the Soul Realignment consultation. SimplyDivineLife (at) gmail.com.

I can’t wait to share this with you!

Originally published Wednesday, January 7, 2009

I love master artist Robert Genn’s Twice Weekly Letters (subscription info below). This particular letter spoke to me on many levels – not just as an artist. Passion is so critical to our happiness and fulfillment in life! It’s the thing that enables us to leap out of bed on Monday morning with joy – and not just resignment and resentment. So, even if you are not an artist – please read on…

How to find passion

January 2, 2009

Dear Keena, Some artists who might read this, especially the more highly evolved ones, are going to say, “I don’t need to find passion, I’ve already found it.” Fair enough. Here are a few ideas for those who may have misplaced it. Dr. Susan Biali, 37, a medical doctor as encouraged by her parents, has written a book on passion and how she found her true calling. Right now she’s negotiating a TV program about the process. Susan says passion means getting at the very core of who you are and what you want to do. Since childhood she had longed to be a dancer. One morning she arrived home exhausted from a particularly stressful night shift in the emergency ward. Desperate, she turned around, slammed the door, flew to Cuba and took up Flamenco. Susan is now a professional dancer. The word passion comes from the Latin patior, meaning to suffer or to endure. These days, losing its uncomfortable roots, passion is a feeling of unusual excitement, enthusiasm or compelling emotion toward a subject, idea, person or object. Here’s how to get it:

Revisit and repossess your core dreams and fantasies.

Consider your dreams to be private, unique and sacred.

Get help from and watch the actions of the already passionate.

Indulge, honour and live in your own imagination.

Don’t talk about it, do it.

See your passion manifested into action or production.

William Burke, the great philosopher and definer of emotions and passions, wrote in 1780, “There’s a boundary to passions when we act from feelings; but none when we are under the influence of imagination.” When you serve your passions, proficiency gradually takes over and becomes habitual. “Permission” becomes entrenched with even more focus and those giddy feelings of success. It’s like love–when you’re in it you hardly know where you are, but all is well. Best regards, Robert PS: “Figure out what you’re passionate about. If you’re not passionate about something, go find it. We do not need more unengaged boring people to inhabit this planet.” (Ben Heppner) Esoterica: Reflection, quietude and self-containment build passion like a kettle coming to the boil. Heated, nothing is too much trouble. As excitement really bubbles up, your face becomes flushed and you have an increase in temperature. In a quiet studio, at the altar of your easel, the condition of your armpits is a good indicator. “Be still when you have nothing to say,” said D. H. Lawrence, “but when genuine passion moves you, say what you’ve got to say, and say it hot.”
