When you listened to the whisper of your soul, when you connected with your divine self from the exercise from the last post – what images do you see? What nudges did you get? What answer did you get in response to your life question? What synchronicities did you experience? Whom did you meet and what information did they have for you? What book or information found its way to you?

Many times we ask our higher selves for guidance and then don’t follow it. The guidance we receive may be outside our comfort zone. For example, you may see an image of yourself speaking in front of people – and then you say No WAY! Some people fear public speaking more than death! Maybe you are one of them. But what if public speaking could fast track your business success? You could follow your intuition and experience this – or you could make a decision based on fear (instead of love or truth) and not try public speaking. And you may not experience business success for several more years yet. There’s more than one path to the top of the mountain – and your intuition knows the shortcut!

Acting on intuitive impulses, inspirations, and dreams to follow your highest path and purpose – to express your divine self – will always lead to success and fulfillment!

PS: Expressing your divine self in an income-producing manner is seldomly aligned with a J-O-B. My most recent case in point: a client was doing work he really liked for an enormous corporation. Then he got laid-off, but could bump someone of lesser seniority. The management kept him on awhile longer in this job that he liked, trying to get him back in. In the mean time, the executives slotted someone else into the job that he was laid off from stating that since he was laid off they couldn’t give it back to him. Go figure. The management then decided to give him a job he hates with less pay. But at least he has a J-O-B right?

You tell me – is this man following his life purpose? Is he living in Truth or Fear? We discussed that yes, he has a family to support and that comes first. But does he want to stay in the job that sucks until he can retire? Would it not be better for everyone if he were to express his soul purpose? To bring his gifts to the world? Love, joy and living your life purpose: a channelled blog post.

I have been channelling spirit guides professionally for a couple of years now, but recently have delved into learning formal “trance” channelling. I have a wonderful high-level guide named Charisse. (I thought this was such a pretty and unusual name – so I looked it up and it means grace and kindness. She certainly embodies both qualities!).

So, I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce you to her with some of what she has told me. In our channelling sessions, I ask her questions of a personal nature as well as some of a universal nature. I also ask her what subject she would like to talk about – what messages she would like to get out to the world through me. This post is from one of those sessions. This post is about love and joy, and how this relates to living your life purpose…

 “Love is THE greatest thing. The saying “love makes the world go ‘round” is so true, but not in the sense of simply a human romantic sense, I am talking about “true love”. True love, universal love, is UNCONDITIONAL. It is not necessarily between two adults or even from parent to child. It goes well beyond.

Can you imagine what the world would be like if it was filled with – if everyone expressed – true love? It would be paradise! And so joyful! This is what the energy is like in the higher spiritual planes. Part of what you are here for in this incarnation is to experience love, to give and receive love. This incarnation, with its polarity, allows you to feel love against its opposite. It allows for a richer experience of what love truly is. If we are loving in all that we do and encourage others to be the same, and the more loving we can be to, and with, each other, the happier, easier and better life will be. Love is the surest path to joy.

So, embodying love is the #1 key to living a simply divine life. (Yeah, I know – blatant plug. But in all seriousness she DID say it! ).

Key #2 is doing and being what brings you joy and brings you aliveness, for that is the only way that you can truly live. Listen to the inspiration that whispers to your soul and follow that inspiration!

What is joy?

 
Joy is a state of complete connection with Source. It is having that channel to your higher self and Source completely and wide open. It is a beautiful state of flow of energy and consciousness, of the highest connection. Joy is your soul fulfilling itself.

One connection that many don’t understand is that self love is also universal love. You are a part of Source – a child of God. When you love yourself, you also love and are connected to Source. To love yourself is to love Source. You are NOT separate.

Please pay attention to the following sentence – it is SO important! Too many people here on the Earth plane] do not follow their joy because they do not love themselves enough to do it, and thus, too many people have regrets at the end of their lives. Too many people “play it safe” – but it’s not about taking risks. It’s about being connected. People are so disconnected [from Source, from their higher selves, from joy and love] and that is the major cause of strive and struggle. We need to reconnect with love, joy and aliveness. Then it makes learning life lessons an easy, beautiful experience instead of one of harshness and hardship. People have a mistaken sense of nobility when it comes to martyrdom, with suffering. This world would be filled with so much more light than it is now, beauty aside, if we lived in a connectedness with joy and love.”

Take some time every day this week to get quiet. Place one hand over your heart and one on your belly, and ask your soul, your higher self, how you can embody love to a greater degree. Ask also how you can connect more to joy and to yourself. Ask also, how you can best honour and love yourself. It is okay to love yourself – you are worthy.

Living your life purpose, while the most rewarding thing you could possibly do, may be the greatest challenge you can face. It requires baring your soul, facing yourself in brutal honesty, and showing, not just yourself and perhaps a few good friends, but the world who you truly are. It requires the strength of vulnerability. It requires the courage of sincerity. It is not for the meek. In fact many people seek to create drama, pain and chaos in their lives in order to avoid even knowing their life purpose, never mind actually living it.

Living your life’s purpose is truly the embodiment of the hero’s journey. You can spend many years, decades, or even our whole lives wondering if you have a purpose and if so, what it is. This is the start of the hero’s journey – the quest.

Along the path, the hero (and, of course, heroine) encounters many challenges. When you discover and acknowledge your life purpose, the hard part has only just begun! You must listen to your inner knowing – the quiet, gentle whispers of your soul – and take action. To those around you, the journey makes no sense, it’s uncomfortable, and it’s foolish. They may rise in opposition, telling you it is not safe to venture forth and embrace your dreams. Better to mire yourself in mediocrity and servitude, bound to a life of spiritual impoverishment for the illusion of safety, or avoiding conflict by doing what other people think is right for you. But only you can know what is right for you, and you have two choices: back down and live in constant dissatisfaction, or trust your intuition and take the wild ride of authentic living.

Along this path, the hero/ine will lose faith – in herself and the decision to have embarked on this journey. Yet, through some event or realization, you find your faith again and venture forth with renewed energy and determination. Holding a vision of the fulfillment and meaning inherent to a life lived with purpose, you begin to embody more of your purpose every day.

As you live more and more in your life purpose, your life begins to fill with a magic and specialness that could never have been felt otherwise. It’s truly like falling in love – only this is with yourself and your life.

The destination is one of great joy, connection, contribution and fulfillment, and yet before the destination is even reached the hero/ine knows that the value of the journey lies not in the riches at the end, but in the riches of the journey itself.

To your quest, brave seeker.

One of the most common questions I get asked is, “What are the Akashic Records?”

One of the best descriptions I have found is from the preface of Ervin Laszlo’s book, “Science and the Akashic Field: An Integral Theory of Everything“. It states, “Akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning “ether”: all-pervasive space. Originally signifying “radiation” or “brilliance,” in Indian philosophy Akasha was considered the first and most fundamental of the five elements – the others being vata (air), agni (fire), ap (water), and prithivi (earth). Akasha embraces the properties of all five elements: it is the womb from which everything we perceive with our senses has emerged and into which everything will ultimately re-descend. The Akashic Record (also called The Akashic Chronicle) is the enduring record of all that happens, and has ever happened, in space and time.” In other words Akasha is the equivalent of Spirit. Laszlo’s theory is that the Universe is not simply a Universe of energy, but one of information and consciousness. He goes on to provide countless examples to illustrate his theory and how it may be the grand-unifying theory that physicists have been searching for.

Quantum physics aside, on a more practical level we can think of the Akashic Records as a kind of library or database. All forms of energetic flux are recorded, and as thought as well as emotion and action are forms of energy, these, too, are recorded. You have a personal energy field that interacts with the energy of the environment around you. This energy field, your aura, is a data-logger of sorts. It records every thought, emotion, action and energetic pulse that you have throughout this lifetime – and it connects with the universal database.

Your soul has a record of multiple lifetimes (chronologically separate or parallel – it does not matter), and everything that has happened within them. These records are what I access to obtain the information you need for your Akashic Records Consultation.

Often this is when the moment of panic sets in! “What?!? You can read my every thought, word and deed for any and every lifetime?! What if there’s something really PRIVATE in there – that I don’t want you or anyone else to know about?!” Okay, slow down! Remember to breathe! The Akashic Records, like any good library or well-maintained database, has security. Your Higher Self and Guides, along with the Akashic Records Guides, show me only what I need to see to help you at this point in your life. No other information is given to me. I can’t just see anything I want to just because I want to – for whatever reason. Only you have complete access to your Akashic Records – and even then your Higher Self, Guides and the Akashic Records Guides may not allow you to see everything. It may not be aligned with your highest path and purpose for this lifetime.

In addition to personal records (for which permission is given), one who attuned to the Akashic Records may have access to other more generic records. Since everything in the Universe in comprised of Akasha it therefore has at some level an energy field and its associated consciousness – and also a Record. This applies to anything in space and/or time, so you can read the records for things like personal effects and properties, or historical, current and potential future events.

Material things can have a history that is entangled with the owner and these energies can be read. An example would be the practice of psychometry, where an intuitive person can hold something like the watch of another and obtain information. The same is true of properties. Depending on the owner(s) material objects can take on a lot of negative energy. This can continue to permeate it. You pick up on this when you walk into a beautiful house that you “should” like but you leave because it doesn’t “feel right”. 

Personal Akashic Records can be cleared of negative influences – those energetic things that are of no value and are often detrimental to you. This requires a specific type of “security clearance” – you don’t want just anybody to start erasing things in your Akashic Record! And this comprises a great deal of how I can help “clear the way” for you to become unstuck and create the experiences you want in your life without hindrance. Today I read a blog post – perhaps in response to yesterday’s Entering into Silence post – that stated the fact that there was no need to meditate and that you always have that peace available to you at all times. You simply need awareness. I think that is absolutely right! We do have all that we need at any moment. We don’t need to DO anything to be in perfect contentment and harmony with the Universe. But! Many people get to this realization through meditation. So the act of meditation is a catalyst to this epiphany. Please keep in mind that meditation does not have to be a traditional, sit-in-silence-until-your-legs-fall-off-from-numbness activity. Meditation is a mindfulness and focus in any activity (whether it is Being or Doing) where you “become one with the Universe” – you lose your sense of time, boundaries and self. A state Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi calls FLOW. People are often in this state when they are engaged in what they love to do – what they are passionate about, whether it’s gardening, painting, dancing, flying a helicopter (like my brother!), surfing or sitting on your front porch in the sun watching a honey-bee go from flower to flower. It really is all about mindfulness, awareness, engagement. So, if you are resisting traditional meditation, don’t do it the traditional way. But do try to find the FLOW, which is true inner peace and happiness.
