When you work with energy, you don’t just work with your own energy or invoke the assistance of the Universe. These are common energetic practices, but you can go beyond that and work with the energy of the earth and planets by working with seasonal energy. I touched on this already in this article on working with seasonal energy and this one on “spring clearing”.

In this post I’m going to talk about yearly goals. Most people make their New Year’s resolutions and yearly goals on New Year’s Eve. Psychologically, this works because this is when we celebrate our New Year. But, if you want to give them added power – or yourself added power to achieve your yearly goals – renew your dedication to them on or about Groundhog Day, February 2^nd.

If you can imagine the energy patterns of the earth’s astronomic cycles as a wave, the reason for this will be very apparent. The equinoxes and the solstices are changes in energy patterns, and are therefore the lowest part of the cycle. In between, the energy rises to a crest and then decreases. So, halfway between the Winter Solstice (Dec. 22^nd –ish) and the Spring Equinox (March 21^st-ish) – around February 2^nd – is the high point of the cycle.

Goals and dreams that are long-term – those you will be working towards throughout the year will have added oomph if you make or renew them at the highest point of the new year’s energetic cycle. Like a surfer, if you catch the wave at the highest point, you can use the energy of that wave to ride it all the way into shore (to the completion of your goals).

In your journal, write down your goals for this year: your goals from New Year’s Eve, your dreams, and your long-range plans. Really concentrate on them as you write them down. Imagine them accomplished – what will it feel like? How will it look? When you are done, connect with the energy of the Universe (Source, God, your higher self – whatever gives you a strong connection to your infinite power). Draw this power into you. When you feel as those you can’t hold any more, once again focus on your goals. Look at them, read them, imagine them accomplished. And then pour all of that energy you are holding into your goals.

When you are done, acknowledge them as completed and feel gratitude.

Now ride the wave!

Are the doors to your prosperity open?

You have all heard of – and hopefully consciously apply – the Law of Attraction in your life, right? And 90% of you – at least – are trying to attract more money and prosperity in your life, right? Well, how is it going to come to you?

Most people believe that you can’t just sit there and have a bag of money fall into your lap. It is true simply because you believe it to be true. In addition to the familiar stories of miracles such as Jesus’ loaves and fishes and others, there are reports of modern day yogis in India who can create food, gems and gold out of thin air, so it CAN be done and don’t let any Law of Attraction guru tell you that action is required. It is simply a belief.

“Your action has nothing to do with your abundance! Your abundance is a response to your vibration. Of course, your belief is part of your vibration. So if you believe that action is part of what brings your abundance, then you’ve got to unravel that.” — Abraham

Overcoming the limiting belief that you can’t manifest out of thin air, though, will likely take years of spiritual practice and rigorous self-examination. And so it is easier and more practical to simply say that manifesting on the physical plane requires action.

There are many ways to have money come to you, and the Universe is very creative: you could have people give you money, you could inherit it, your ex could graciously pay all of something for your child – for example, tuition, and thus you have the money you would have otherwise spent, you could get some coupons or find some good sales. The trouble with this is that they can be small amounts or they are sporadic or both.

A native spiritual healer that I am friends with says: “you don’t have to work for money to come to you.” However, he tends to think of it more as opportunities to make money coming to you, rather than the bags of money themselves. And in this we find our solution!

In order to open the doors to prosperity and manifest consistent increased prosperity over time – which is what we all really want – we are best served by having the means for the Universe to easily do it! The easiest, most fun, most spiritually and financially rewarding way to do this is to create a business.

Now don’t panic! This can be a small, side-income for you – it doesn’t have to replace your job. Some people do not have the temperament to cope with being a full-time entrepreneur. And that’s okay! Especially when you’ve never had a side-business before, you don’t necessarily want to jump right in. There is a lot to learn. But it’s fun! And rewarding. And can really be spiritually and financially expanding.

For me, ever since I was 10 years old I have had both side-businesses and full-time businesses – all related to expressing my life purpose. And so my businesses seem to be entangled with my spiritual growth. It has been a wonderful journey for me and it is this journey that I would love for you to experience, too!

You may have noticed some changes to the Simply Divine Life website in the past couple of weeks. I’ve changed the look slightly in celebration and to mark the difference. It’s not a change more than simply a tweak – an addition to the services and products I already offer.

Simply Divine Life is still about:

a)      discovering your life purpose and

b)      expressing it with success and fulfillment, too.

But now part b is more focussed on ways to create prosperity, success and fulfillment through the spiritual path of a purpose-based conscious business.

I can now help you start-up your business (and develop it), or if you already have one and it’s not going where you want it to, then I can help you tune it up.

Prosperity is more than business – and I will also write posts and create courses that have nothing to do with business and everything to do with prosperity, too! I am offering a course at CNC here in Vanderhoof on November 6^th, called “Wealth and Success from the Inside Out”. Being the owner of a small business, I read quite a bit about marketing and such. One concept that is out there, though not seemingly too widely known or applied in the small business sector, is one of marketing a *feeling* instead of a product. This is most obviously used by the larger corporations – auto manufacturers, Apple, Coke, etc. They sell feelings of being rich, sexy and powerful, or cool and current.

What does this have to do with me, you ask?! Well, having been thinking about this for my business, I discovered that the feelings I represent with my business really do represent what I, as a person, am about. Which makes sense, right? For it to work, your business should be an authentic expression of you. So, the feelings that *you* are about reflect in all that you do – whether you’re in business or not. They affect how you  interact with the world, and therefore how the world sees you. So what are the energies you project to others? Are they the energies you WANT to project?

Here are some words to get you thinking:

• Joy
• Abundance
• Strength
• Sincerity
• Love
• Inspiration
• Doom and gloom
• Guilt
• Confidence
• Courage
• Fun
• Appreciativeness
• Thoughtfulness
• Sensitivity
• Charisma
• Athleticism
• Surliness
• Stressed
• Smart
• Gifted
• Complainer
• Exuberance
• Neutrality

There are so many more! Notice that they are not all positive – many people unconsciously project negative energy. One part of this exercise is to find out what energies you ARE projecting, followed by what energies you WANT to project. I know that we can’t  – or won’t – project “all happiness, all the time,” like some radio station, but we can choose. Take the list above, and add any other energetic qualities you can think of, positive and negative. Then go to a quiet place, with no distractions, breathe deeply and relax. Think about the qualities that are there. Allow yourself to pick 3 that represent you at this moment in your life. They might be all positive, or all negative. It really doesn’t matter. What does matter is if they are the qualities you WANT to project. If not, pick up to 3 different ones that really resonate with you. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to “try on” some of these energies. See if you like them, see if they fit who you are, and see if it makes a difference in your life.

 So, starting now for the next 7 days, take one energetic quality that you would like to project and put it foremost in your consciousness. Everything that you do, approach it from that energetic perspective. So, if you pick “courageous” for example, you will  do everything from the perspective of having that quality. You may try a new food, a new activity you thought you could never do (“acknowledge the fear and do it anyway!”), you may face bad news without succumbing to victim-hood, or you may take a chance on a gut feeling.

Now it may be tempting to take on a couple of juicy and exciting energies all at once. Please don’t – take one only, and be mindful of it. When you are done with the first week, go back to your list and pick another. After three weeks you will have an entirely new perspective on how your energies affect the world and what energies you will be projecting from now on! For me, the first energy I will be working on is patience…

The rest of this post is my evaluation of the course.

A bit about me, so you know where I am coming from in my review: I am no stranger to creating products of all kinds, I am a self-motivated, I am creative and I’ve written under pressure with tight deadlines at university and throughout my working life – so I offer you my opinion from the perspective of someone who does not need this course. I feel, therefore, that I have a very objective viewpoint in this regard. So, if I say it’s good – I’m not just blowing smoke!

I am also a woman, a mother with a young family and demanding day job (while I build my business), so where I had difficulties time-wise you may not (if you are not in the same situation) – so please keep this in mind while reading.

Review:

Overall: B+

The Good:

Very good product. Tom is a unique and authentic person and he shines all the way through! This course is not your boring, “just the facts”-type of publication. Tom’s stamp of individuality is found throughout. It is well thought out and has excellent exercises, and the audios are a unique and powerful addition. Tom puts his coaching expertise into this product and it shows. If you are new to making your own info-products and/or want Tom’s unique bold support, then this is IDEAL.

The 5 day program is perfect for a longer article, paper or short ebook in which you have at least 90% of the information about the subject stored in your head (or already researched). Thankfully we know a lot more than we think we know, and Tom’s exercises are excellent for teasing this info out of your brain and onto the page.

The Bad:

Nothing bad about this product.

The Ugly:

The 5 day program is not for the faint of heart!

Tom recommends a minimum of 2.5 hours a day, but not all days will require even this much time. Days 1, 4 and 5 are all 2.5 hours or less. However this is indeed an absolute bare minimum for day 3. You will require a LOT longer if you are writing anything of length or want to incorporate multi-media for a larger, more complex product. I found Day 3 especially difficult to put the requisite time working a day job and with family obligations.

Overall, I highly recommend Create Your Inspired Info-Product in 5 Days.
