Working with Energy: Seasons and Astronomy

When you work with energy, you don’t just work with your own energy or invoke the assistance of the Universe. These are common energetic practices, but you can go beyond that and work with the energy of the earth and planets by working with seasonal energy. I touched on this already in this article on working with seasonal energy and this one on “spring clearing”.

In this post I’m going to talk about yearly goals. Most people make their New Year’s resolutions and yearly goals on New Year’s Eve. Psychologically, this works because this is when we celebrate our New Year. But, if you want to give them added power – or yourself added power to achieve your yearly goals – renew your dedication to them on or about Groundhog Day, February 2^nd.

If you can imagine the energy patterns of the earth’s astronomic cycles as a wave, the reason for this will be very apparent. The equinoxes and the solstices are changes in energy patterns, and are therefore the lowest part of the cycle. In between, the energy rises to a crest and then decreases. So, halfway between the Winter Solstice (Dec. 22^nd –ish) and the Spring Equinox (March 21^st-ish) – around February 2^nd – is the high point of the cycle.

Goals and dreams that are long-term – those you will be working towards throughout the year will have added oomph if you make or renew them at the highest point of the new year’s energetic cycle. Like a surfer, if you catch the wave at the highest point, you can use the energy of that wave to ride it all the way into shore (to the completion of your goals).

In your journal, write down your goals for this year: your goals from New Year’s Eve, your dreams, and your long-range plans. Really concentrate on them as you write them down. Imagine them accomplished – what will it feel like? How will it look? When you are done, connect with the energy of the Universe (Source, God, your higher self – whatever gives you a strong connection to your infinite power). Draw this power into you. When you feel as those you can’t hold any more, once again focus on your goals. Look at them, read them, imagine them accomplished. And then pour all of that energy you are holding into your goals.

When you are done, acknowledge them as completed and feel gratitude.

Now ride the wave!

Part 2: Discovering Your True Path

Continuing the tale of my losing my soul, my way… and how I discovered my true path…

I have always been highly intuitive, but had really become disconnected from it in the previous years as well. So, I went in search of it, knowing that my intuition would have the right answers for me. Concurrently, I went searching for my life’s purpose. I had thought it was art, but that wasn’t the whole of it, so I found out – and that is why I felt so lost.

I learned to tap into my intuition and got a lot of guidance (especially synchronicities) from my Spirit Guides. The major turning point was when I was led to Soul Realignment and became a certified practitioner. It was through this modality that I learned my soul origin and history, learned my soul level gifts and talents and what I did to help people between lives. This filled in a LOT more information! And then I learned about how your life purpose can be read from your hands (a scientific practice, no less! No woo-woo here (as much as I love woo-woo)).

Now all the puzzle pieces were in place. Everything in the hand analysis backed up what I already knew from the Akashic Records and fleshed it out, particularly in the realm of life lessons. For once, I had a clear idea of my life purpose, life lessons, and great clarity about the choices I had made in my life to this point. I also now have great clarity about where I am going from here!

Strangely enough, even though I *thought* I was lost in a hedge-maze and not living my life purpose, and wondering what it was – I had been mostly on my path all along! So, for those of you who feel the same as I did in my dark night of the soul, please know that you are not as far off as you think you are!

The lessons I learned from this adventure so far:

Embrace the dark night of the soul. It’s a real wake-up call, and when it’s done you will emerge stronger and inspired for a fresh start. It is a metamorphosis.

Despite feeling “lost”, you are not really that lost after all! So take heart!

Know thyself. The better you know yourself, the smoother life will be. It’s the difference between travelling in a fog or on a crystal clear day.

Be conscious of your highest path and purpose. This fits in with knowing yourself. Life, your choices, your experiences, the obstacles that present themselves will all make so much more sense! There will be fewer struggles and drama, and more ease and flow. Life will be just so much more meaningful. And the other thing is, that even if you have a really good sense of your life purpose, as I did from the time I was a child, there were many more nuances than I suspected! It’s good to know these – it put me on the path I am now on – which I love, and may have never come to or understood before.

Even though a friend or loved one may recommend something, we have to trust our intuition and select a path that really connects with what our soul needs most.

Passion and Purpose – How to Find Yours!

What is passion? The word passion comes from the Latin patior, meaning to suffer or to endure (are many of you not passionate about your day job then?! LOL!). The uncomfortable roots of this word have given way to meaning a feeling of unusual excitement, enthusiasm or compelling emotion toward a subject, idea, person or object. Passions are those things that you love to do that move you to action. They are motivating and inspiring; they bring your joy and a sense of aliveness. And, they are a clue – to your life purpose.

Passion and purpose are intrinsically linked. Some may argue that passions may come and go like fashions, but I disagree. While you may be interested in a wide variety of things, these things tend to have themes and cycles, often going back to childhood. When you look at the essence of these passions they give a strong clue to your life purpose.

For example, a lot of my passions revolve around stuff like fine art, painting, drawing, writing, photography, design – websites, publications, programs, etc. The essence of this is, of course, creation (including manifestation). And this is a prime element of both my soul level gifts and talents (Akashic Records consultation), as well as my life purpose (as identified by the “Your Life is in Your Hands” consultation).

So, how to discover your passions:

Revisit and repossess your core dreams and fantasies.
- Think back to when you were a little kid and make a list of your passions by five year blocks of time.
- Examine these lists for recurrent themes.
Consider your dreams to be private, unique and sacred.
- Only you know what feeds your soul, and it is not for others to judge!
- Know, too, that you are not alone – there are others with the same passions. You can connect with them. This can be especially helpful if you wouldn’t be able to get the support you need at home.
- Your dreams are sacred. They are an expression of your soul. Treat them that way.
Get help from and watch the actions of the already passionate.
- Get to know others already following your particular passions.
- If you can’t find anyone (yet!), then pay attention to how passionate people feed their passions (in general).
Indulge, honour and live in your own imagination.
- This stokes the fire of passions, and opens up new avenues and opportunities.
Don’t talk about it, do it.
- Pick your top passion and do something to express it.
See your passion manifested into action or production.
- This will not only make you feel joyful, confident, successful, and fulfilled but will also attract to it further success!
- When you see your passion manifest, it feeds the fire!

PS There can be passions you have that are smaller parts to a larger purpose. Sometimes your passions may seem so different that the only thing linking them is you. In those cases, you will want to take a higher, more encompassing perspective to see the link. An example might be that the 3 things you are most passionate about are playing rock guitar, hanging out with your friends and being addicted to Twitter. In this case the essence may be around communication.

Your Child’s Life Purpose

Jumpstart your child’s growth and development to his/her fullest potential.

Knowing your life purpose is the most important gift you can give yourself. It gives you direction and focus, gives your life more fulfillment and meaning, increases your happiness and enthusiasm. When we know our life purpose, we don’t wander around our lives wondering what we should “do” or who we should “be”. Life is more easy, effortless and enjoyable – and we can all use more of that in our lives!

In learning our life purpose, we also learn about the flip side of the coin: life lessons. When you know what lessons you are here to experience and learn from, you can approach them in a conscious manner. It becomes quicker and easier – and we get out of the endless repetition of these experiences because we are aware of them. Life ceases to be an endless struggle, and is filled with greater joy and meaning.

Can you imagine what it would have been like for you as a child if your parents knew your life purpose and life lessons? Can you imagine how much of a head start you would’ve had in life if you had received the support and encouragement you needed as a child. So, imagine the enormous benefits your child will have if you know his/her life purpose and are able to support and encourage her/him from the beginning!
Outside of bringing your beautiful child into this world, this is THE greatest gift you can give him/her!

If you have wondered about your own life purpose and searched online, you will have found dozens of websites. While the content may be a bit different, you will have found that every single one is a variation of journalling the answers to a series of thought provoking questions. They may, like Steve Pavlina’s method, take 20 minutes, or they may take months or even years. And often, you will end up with something sort of nebulous. A vague direction that seems to apply to you, at least at this point in your life. If you really would have liked something accurate, real, lifelong, concrete and specific, that was quick, painless and, for once, didn’t involve journalling, please feel free to order a Life Purpose Consultation for yourself!

Back to your child though, you never see anything about your child’s life purpose, do you? When does life purpose kick in? When you are 18? 30? No! Your life purpose and life lessons are determined – by you – before you even “get here”. We are just not conscious of it, so we don’t remember.

Never mind be able to write, or especially to answer questions about what they ‘loved to do as a child’, or if they never had to work again – with a million dollars in the bank! The two keys to living a simply divine life.

Love, joy and living your life purpose: a channelled blog post.

I have been channelling spirit guides professionally for a couple of years now, but recently have delved into learning formal “trance” channelling. I have a wonderful high-level guide named Charisse. (I thought this was such a pretty and unusual name – so I looked it up and it means grace and kindness. She certainly embodies both qualities!).

So, I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce you to her with some of what she has told me. In our channelling sessions, I ask her questions of a personal nature as well as some of a universal nature. I also ask her what subject she would like to talk about – what messages she would like to get out to the world through me. This post is from one of those sessions. This post is about love and joy, and how this relates to living your life purpose…

“Love is THE greatest thing. The saying “love makes the world go ‘round” is so true, but not in the sense of simply a human romantic sense, I am talking about “true love”. True love, universal love, is UNCONDITIONAL. It is not necessarily between two adults or even from parent to child. It goes well beyond.

Can you imagine what the world would be like if it was filled with – if everyone expressed – true love? It would be paradise! And so joyful! This is what the energy is like in the higher spiritual planes. Part of what you are here for in this incarnation is to experience love, to give and receive love. This incarnation, with its polarity, allows you to feel love against its opposite. It allows for a richer experience of what love truly is. If we are loving in all that we do and encourage others to be the same, and the more loving we can be to, and with, each other, the happier, easier and better life will be. Love is the surest path to joy.

So, embodying love is the #1 key to living a simply divine life. (Yeah, I know – blatant plug. But in all seriousness she DID say it! ).

Key #2 is doing and being what brings you joy and brings you aliveness, for that is the only way that you can truly live. Listen to the inspiration that whispers to your soul and follow that inspiration!

What is joy?

Joy is a state of complete connection with Source. It is having that channel to your higher self and Source completely and wide open. It is a beautiful state of flow of energy and consciousness, of the highest connection. Joy is your soul fulfilling itself.

One connection that many don’t understand is that self love is also universal love. You are a part of Source – a child of God. When you love yourself, you also love and are connected to Source. To love yourself is to love Source. You are NOT separate.

Please pay attention to the following sentence – it is SO important! Too many people here on the Earth plane] do not follow their joy because they do not love themselves enough to do it, and thus, too many people have regrets at the end of their lives. Too many people “play it safe” – but it’s not about taking risks. It’s about being connected. People are so disconnected [from Source, from their higher selves, from joy and love] and that is the major cause of strive and struggle. We need to reconnect with love, joy and aliveness. Then it makes learning life lessons an easy, beautiful experience instead of one of harshness and hardship. People have a mistaken sense of nobility when it comes to martyrdom, with suffering. This world would be filled with so much more light than it is now, beauty aside, if we lived in a connectedness with joy and love.”

Take some time every day this week to get quiet. Place one hand over your heart and one on your belly, and ask your soul, your higher self, how you can embody love to a greater degree. Ask also how you can connect more to joy and to yourself. Ask also, how you can best honour and love yourself. It is okay to love yourself – you are worthy.
