Nearly all of the literature on the Law of Attraction from the last century alludes to it being like a magnetic force. You are here. What you desire is over there. You crank up your vibrational level to “magnetize” what you want to you. Very separatist, don’t you think? While it may simply be a metaphor, it has coloured our perception of how we manifest. That is, we tend to take it literally – and it reinforces a materialist and separatist world-view.

You see, the Universe is the very definition of abundant. Since we are a part of the Universe, and connected to the Divine Whole – we are not separate from this infinite abundance. So, in essence you don’t “attract” abundance, money, a new car, a fabulous lover, more clients, better health or anything else. You already have it! (Or ARE it).

As well, within the last 6 months, I heard (I believe it was from the Jeffrey half of Spiritual Marketing), that you don’t “attract” anything, but you “go to” this concentration of abundance. This isn’t true either. As I said above, you already have divine abundance because you are not separate from it.

In essence, because there is no genuine separation, there really is no such thing as the Law of Attraction. Not per se. The Law of Attraction is really more like the Law of Perception.

What is the Law of Perception?

What is true is that your energetic state – your vibration or frequency – determines what openings are available to you in every moment. You can think of it as a window that opens, or a doorway that is unlocked – even like a video game level that becomes unlocked after you complete certain requisites. At each consciousness level (remember consciousness is energy), there are certain doorways that are unlocked and available for you to perceive. Often, for us they show up as options or opportunities. In reality, all the doorways are open, you just can’t perceive them – or you perceive some of them as closed, or not available to you. For those at the saint, master or yogi levels of consciousness, all doorways are perceived as open, and manifesting is instant – “out of thin air”. Why? They know that there are no doorways! They have no limiting beliefs and thus they have no limitations.

You have your own “home” frequency – that energy that you feel when you feel expanded, joyful, loving/compassionate and connected to all. It is pure, radiant, beautiful, powerful, and, what physicists refer to as “coherent”. It is the energy of your soul, unfettered by fear, doubt and resistance. When you raise your energetic state closer to that of your home frequency, you have many, many more doorways available to you than is available at lower energetic levels! This is why you can manifest more easily, more quickly and without struggle at higher energetic/consciousness levels.

You can use your imagination to envision what doorways would be available to you, and then shift your energy to access them. Start small. As you gain more confidence, you can get rid of the doorways altogether!

If you want to get to know your soul and soul purpose – your soul’s origins, history, stage of development and soul level gifts and talents – as well as clear out any soul-level energetic blocks that are interfering with your ability to open those doorways, then you will benefit from the Simply Divine Life Purpose Program.

Creativity is potential. It is limitless possibility. But you can’t manifest it.

In the quantum realm, everything exists in a state of potential, in wave form, until it is observed. When it is observed the wave is collapsed, and then it exists as a particle. We can then measure it, because it no longer has infinite potential. It has been limited.

The same principle applies in life. In order to have the life you want it must be limited. You can’t be everything to everybody. You will make no impact, have no fun and burn yourself out in the process. Just the same, you can’t manifest everything (besides, you would get a lot of stuff you don’t want). You decide by limiting yourself to what you DO want.

Be very specific and be clear on your intention. You can still have and do a lot of different things. But attract your intention, one at a time, with a singular point of focus. Limit yourself.

Imagine that the thing you want to manifest as a watermelon. You want to make a real impact – so which tool would you use? A well-honed knife with a single point of focus, or a beach ball? Mind you, a beach ball is well-rounded – and its surface is covered with multitudinous points of focus (desires, things you intend to manifest) – but what impact will it have on the watermelon? Nothing. It will bounce off! And what will happen with the knife? It will get right to the heart of what you want to manifest.

When you work with energy, you don’t just work with your own energy or invoke the assistance of the Universe. These are common energetic practices, but you can go beyond that and work with the energy of the earth and planets by working with seasonal energy. I touched on this already in this article on working with seasonal energy and this one on “spring clearing”.

In this post I’m going to talk about yearly goals. Most people make their New Year’s resolutions and yearly goals on New Year’s Eve. Psychologically, this works because this is when we celebrate our New Year. But, if you want to give them added power – or yourself added power to achieve your yearly goals – renew your dedication to them on or about Groundhog Day, February 2^nd.

If you can imagine the energy patterns of the earth’s astronomic cycles as a wave, the reason for this will be very apparent. The equinoxes and the solstices are changes in energy patterns, and are therefore the lowest part of the cycle. In between, the energy rises to a crest and then decreases. So, halfway between the Winter Solstice (Dec. 22^nd –ish) and the Spring Equinox (March 21^st-ish) – around February 2^nd – is the high point of the cycle.

Goals and dreams that are long-term – those you will be working towards throughout the year will have added oomph if you make or renew them at the highest point of the new year’s energetic cycle. Like a surfer, if you catch the wave at the highest point, you can use the energy of that wave to ride it all the way into shore (to the completion of your goals).

In your journal, write down your goals for this year: your goals from New Year’s Eve, your dreams, and your long-range plans. Really concentrate on them as you write them down. Imagine them accomplished – what will it feel like? How will it look? When you are done, connect with the energy of the Universe (Source, God, your higher self – whatever gives you a strong connection to your infinite power). Draw this power into you. When you feel as those you can’t hold any more, once again focus on your goals. Look at them, read them, imagine them accomplished. And then pour all of that energy you are holding into your goals.

When you are done, acknowledge them as completed and feel gratitude.

Now ride the wave!

If you would like more help with the holidays – and who wouldn’t – then you might like this post I wrote in 2008 (an oldie and a goodie!):

Your Spiritual Support Team, consisting of your Higher Self, Guides, Angels, Teachers and Masters can be of great assistance during the holidays.

The holidays are supposed to be fun. They are supposed to be filled with joy, food, parties, friends and family, and gifts. Expectations are high – and so is the stress, especially if you are the one who’s responsible for others having a good time, you have to travel, you have family conflicts, or you are a last minute shopper. We are all aware of how our team , particularly our higher self, guides and angels, can and do help us all the time. Especially if we ask! But sometimes in our frazzled rushing around trying to “git ‘r done”, we forget they are even there. And that we could get help!

Here are some examples: “Guides, I request that I find the most suitable and beneficial gifts for everyone on my list, that I find these gifts with ease and that shopping for them be a most enjoyable experience. This or something better, for the highest good of all. Thank you!”  Please don’t forget the heartfelt thank you! And to include a statement similar to “for the highest good of all.” It will ensure that not only you, but all those that are associated have a beneficial experience.  “Guides, I ask that during the time that I am at [name's] party I have a delightful experience! For the highest good of all. Thank you so much!”  

Also, feel free to address it to your main guide to make it a more personal experience – if you know his or her name.  “[Name of guide], I request help in cooking this holiday dinner to perfection, and  to the utmost enjoyment and health of my guests and family, to the highest good of all. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”  “[Name of guide], I ask that my safety and the safety of my family be guaranteed as we travel, now and into the future, for the highest good of all. Thank you!”

Feel free to request anything you can think of! Even the so-called impossible. Like your luggage arriving at the same time and destination as you. Remember, too, that we have our own expectations and if they are negative that can colour the perception of our experiences. For example, if you are expecting to have a horrible time at so-and-so’s party, you will. Law of Attraction, right? So, ask your Guides to help you – and expect to be helped.

Expect to have a good time, or enjoy shopping, or have your holiday dinner turn out perfectly. And it will! Happy Holidays!

People receive intuitive information in different ways. The greatest number of people tend to be claircognizant, that is, have “inner knowing”. And the greatest trouble claircognizant people have is telling the difference between their true intuitive voice, and the voice of fear or ego.

Your intuitive voice tends to be centered in the body – in the region of your heart and/or gut. And your entire body acts as an energy signal receiver. So, knowing that, we can generally trust our feelings to be an indicator of our intuition.

If you are in a situation where you are trying to make a decision about, say, as an example, starting your own business, but you are fearful of a number of things, such as whether you *should*, whether it will be successful, whether people will disagree with what you are doing, etc., try the following exercise:

Visualize yourself in the situation you are considering, in this case your ideal business. What is your life and business like on this path? How does it make you feel?

Visualize yourself in your current life as it is. What is your life and business like on this path? How does it make you feel?

Visualize the two paths stretching out before you. Which path holds more light? Which path feels more radiant?

If your decision is a major one (like starting your own business (vs. what to make for dinner)), go one step further – to the end of your life. Imagine each scenario again from the point of reviewing how you feel about it at the end of your life. Which path or decision feels right? Any regrets?

What were your reactions to the two scenarios? Did you feel: Happy? Excited? Motivated? Free? Powerful? Or Fearful? Uncomfortable? Stuck? Uninspired? Sad?

Which path is the right one for you? I think you already know the answer – the body doesn’t lie! The answer is in how you FEEL and your first impressions. If you’re feeling excited, inspired and energized, and you will probably feel a little bit of fear or discomfort (especially on the HOW you will pull it off), then that is the path for you!

The path that makes you feel numb, bored, blah, or otherwise lifeless is NOT the path to follow, even if it is a path that is comfortable, familiar or less scary (the devil you know vs. the devil you don’t). Your true path is the one that makes you feel energized and excited!

A note of caution: sometimes when we are really enthused about something we can tend to be a bit more uninhibited, especially financially. Don’t throw caution to the wind!

1)       Always remember to trust your intuition.

2)       When starting a new business it’s best not to quit your day job before it is up and running, unless you have an independent source of income.

3)       And, my best advice is to make sure that before you start, all the barriers to your success are removed, and that you and your business are in alignment.
