What have I proven to myself through developing my intuition.
Sunday, December 6, 2009 This blog post may be a bit different that what I normally write…
I am working with a great coach – Tom Volkar. He had suggested to me to write out what I have proven to myself through developing my intuition. So, here is what I have written – though without the specifics (otherwise it would be WAY too long!):
What have I proven to myself through developing my intuition?

I am happier.
Why? Because I am more relaxed; I trust that I have access to the best information possible, and that I am doing what’s best for me (and those I love). I do this without spinning around in the endless back-eddies of over-thinking, second-guessing, indecision and doubt.
I am freer.
Why? I can be more in the moment. I know that I am always being guided with the best information and with the highest intention for ME (not by someone else’s agenda or idea of what is right). I always have reliable access to this information and that the intel is always better than what my logic and ego could come up with.
I am more abundant in all areas of my life including financially.
Why? Because when I was always worrying and doubting and over-thinking I was always attracting that which brought me more worrying, doubt and over-thinking. In a relaxed, comfortable, trusting state I am happier and healthier – and so I attract more of the same. As well, as above, I am more I am able to live in the moment. This moment is all there is and where all of our power lies. I create from a place of power, trust and confidence – not fear and uncertainty (which never gives us what we want anyway!).
I am more fulfilled.
Why? Because intuition and inspiration always come from a place of love and joy, and is therefore in alignment with my higher self and Source. As a result, the outcomes of following my intuition and inspiration bring me peace, joy, love, fulfillment and happiness.
I am more spiritually evolved.
I live with more peace, compassion and love, and experience greater connection to my higher self and Source. Why? Because I have learned that intuition can be reliable, that I can trust myself and therefore have more faith in myself and a benevolent universe. I have proved it to myself and thus faith and trust become something natural. I am not forced to “believe” in anything. Each incidence of intuition shows me how we are all connected to each other and Source.
I am healthier.
I have way less stress, I am relaxed and peaceful, and I have more energy. Why? Because I know my intuition is a reliable source of information and I am no longer endlessly circling in the back-eddies of uncertainty and “analysis paralysis”. One of the greatest causes of stress is change, and because of reliable, accurate intuitive information change is no longer threatening and overwhelming. Intuitive development has made me more aware of energy in my environment and as a result I have been able to avoid or at least protect myself from the toxic people and situations that are so pervasive. As well, I attract more people who support me in my journey.
I have also naturally become less interested in toxic junk food, caffeine and alcohol. While I am no saint – I still have a large mug of coffee on most days, and I like the occasional feast of Doritos and beer – it’s not as much as it used to be!
I have better relationships.
Why? Because I can tell when something is “off” about someone, and I am more aware of others’ energies. I can tell when they need some space or are in need of comfort. This energetic sensitivity leads me to be more loving and compassionate. Because I am more happy and fulfilled in my life I am more positive, joyful and cheerful – a lot more enjoyable to be around. Others around me synchronize to this energy and become themselves more joyful – or they leave because they cannot sync with my energy. Win-win! And the resulting relationships also bear the same qualities.
I am more creative.
Why? Because Source is infinite creativity. When I am connected to my higher self and source – my inspiration – then I have instant access to infinite creativity. This is why I have taken a bit of a hiatus (well, I guess a long hiatus) from the art “world”. I am working on a new series that is completely spiritually driven – and it has spent a couple of years incubating and coalescing.
I live with meaning and purpose.
Why? Because my intuition and inspiration come from my higher self, guides and Spirit – who have a better idea of my highest path and purpose than “I” do (“I” being my “small self”, ego or persona). My intuition and inspiration have led me to my greatest joys, and my passions and interests are encouraged and aided as an expression of my divine self.
I never feel alone.
Why? My connection to my higher self, guides and Source remind me constantly of my connection to everything. The illusion of separateness disappears naturally, and is no longer simply a spiritually based knowledge construct.
I am more successful.
Why? Because I no longer waste time, money and other resources following the guidance of others, being uncertain and indecisive, missing opportunities, feeling anxious and second-guessing myself, and trusting people whom I shouldn’t trust.
I know that the CEO’s of the top 100 companies in the WORLD all trust their intuition and that it is their “secret weapon” (Harvard Business Review), so I am in good company!

Wow! That is quite a list. Did you say more confident? That's the number one thing I've learned from following my intuition. I'm more focused and confident and that attracts opportunity, success and money. You are indeed an intuitive expert.
Jessica and Tom,
Thank you for your delightful comments!
Jessica - you are absolutely right. And the strange thing is that I didn't even realized how MUCH it had affected my life until I made the list :-)
Tom - ummm, no - I didn't add that one! Thanks. Now I will! :-)
Blessings to you both!
